GGD Low-voltage fixed distribution switchgear

Overview

The GGD AC low-voltage distribution cabinet is intended for power distribution, motor control centres, capacitor compensation and similar duties in the low-voltage distribution systems of power plants, substations, petrochemical facilities, industrial and mining enterprises, high-rise buildings and other power users. It operates in AC 50 Hz distribution systems with a rated operating voltage of 380 V and rated operating currents up to 3150 A, and is used for the conversion, distribution and control of electrical energy for power, lighting and distribution equipment.

The GGD cabinet is a low-voltage distribution panel designed under the Ministry of Energy with the aim of advancing the technology of China's low-voltage distribution industry and accelerating the replacement of earlier generations of low-voltage switchgear assemblies. The product is characterised by high breaking capacity, good dynamic and thermal stability and high practicality.

Cabinet construction

• The GGD AC low-voltage distribution cabinet uses a universal cabinet arrangement. The frame is assembled from 8MF cold-formed steel sections with partial welding and is provided with mounting holes on a 20 mm modular pitch, giving a high degree of standardisation. Heat dissipation during operation has been fully considered: ventilation slots of varying number at the top and bottom of the cabinet create a natural top-to-bottom ventilation path through the otherwise enclosed cabinet, dissipating heat effectively.
• The instrument door carrying electrical components is bonded to the frame with multi-strand flexible copper conductor, and the mounting parts inside the cabinet are connected to the frame with knurled screws, so that the whole cabinet forms a complete protective earthing circuit.
• The cabinet surface is finished by electrostatic powder coating, giving strong adhesion and a good surface texture; the whole cabinet has a matt finish that avoids glare.
• The degree of protection of the cabinet is IP30.
