KYN28A-12 Indoor metal-clad withdrawable switchgear, 12 kV

Overview

KYN28A-12 indoor AC metal-clad withdrawable switchgear is a complete indoor distribution assembly for three-phase AC 50 Hz systems, with a rated voltage of 12 kV and working currents up to 4000 A.

It is intended for power plants, substations and industrial and mining enterprises, where it receives and distributes electrical energy and provides control, protection and monitoring of the circuits. The switchgear is suitable for installations that are operated frequently.

Features

• Safe and reliable five-fold ("five prevention") interlocking, which effectively prevents:
• 1. Incorrect opening or closing of the circuit breaker
• 2. Racking the circuit-breaker truck in or out under load
• 3. Closing the circuit breaker while the earthing switch is closed
• 4. Closing the earthing switch while the circuit is live
• 5. Entry into a live compartment
• Optional ZN63A(VS1), VD4, ZN21, 3AH and VEP vacuum circuit breakers, as well as VC7 vacuum contactors, load-break switches and disconnectors
• Withdrawable trucks are supplied by function (circuit-breaker, voltage-transformer, metering and isolating trucks), and trucks of the same function are fully interchangeable
• Separate heaters can be fitted in the circuit-breaker compartment and the cable compartment to prevent condensation and corrosion
• Degree of protection of the switchgear enclosure is IP4X; between compartments, and with the circuit-breaker compartment door open, it is IP2X
