KYN61-40.5 Armoured withdrawable metal-enclosed switchgear, 40.5 kV

Overview

KYN61-40.5 armoured metal-enclosed switchgear (referred to below as the switchgear) is a design developed and improved by Jiangsu Xinhong on the basis of its earlier products. It is intended for three-phase AC 50 Hz power systems, where it receives and distributes electrical energy and provides control, protection and monitoring of the circuits.

The switchgear incorporates a range of safeguards against maloperation, including prevention of moving the withdrawable truck under load, prevention of closing the earthing switch on a live circuit and prevention of entry into a live compartment.

The switchgear is fitted with ZN85 or VN1 vacuum circuit breakers, or with ABB VD4 or HD4 series circuit breakers.
