XGN15-12 Metal-enclosed ring main unit, 12 kV

Overview

XGN15-12 is a unit-type, modular SF6 AC metal-enclosed ring main switchgear in which an SF6 switch serves as the main switch while the cabinet as a whole is air-insulated. It is simple in construction, flexible to operate, reliably interlocked and easy to install, and offers a suitable technical solution for a wide range of installations and customer requirements.

Sensor technology and protection relays can be used, and the assembly options are light and flexible.

The XGN15-12 unit-type SF6 ring main unit is designed for AC 50 Hz, 12 kV power systems and is widely used at the end-user side of industrial and civil power supply projects. Typical installations include sites requiring automatic changeover between two supplies, distribution in urban residential districts, small secondary substations, switching stations, industrial and mining enterprises, shopping centres, airports, metro systems, wind power plants, hospitals, stadiums, railways and tunnels.

The degree of protection is IP2X.

Features

• The enclosure of the XGN15-12 ring main switchgear is made from aluminium-zinc-coated, galvanised or cold-rolled steel sheet formed on CNC machinery, with a powder-coated front panel. The switchgear consists of four mutually isolated compartments: the busbar compartment, the switch compartment, the cable compartment, and the operating-mechanism and control compartment.
• A pressure-relief channel is provided at the rear of the cabinet. The cabinet is rationally designed, compact and small in size; it is convenient and flexible to operate, has a complete and reliable five-fold interlocking system, is simple to install, operates safely and stably, and can be extended.
