The TMG-1600 (factory model S13-M-1600) is a hermetic oil-immersed 10 (6) / 0.4 kV distribution transformer rated 1600 kVA, the top rating for ZGS (KTPN) compact substations and a typical choice for large industrial and commercial sites. Its rated LV current is 2309 A, output reaches 1440 kW at cos φ 0.9, and no-load loss is 1170 W. Price and a techno-commercial offer are sent on request within 24 hours.

Rated current is calculated as I = S / (√3 · U). The short-circuit current is taken as the LV rated current divided by uk, neglecting the supply network impedance. Network and cable impedance lower the actual current, while the uk tolerance (±10 %) and the IEC 60909 voltage factor can raise it by roughly 10 %, so select the breaking capacity of circuit breakers from the short-circuit calculation of the project.
The amorphous-alloy core of the SH15 cuts the no-load loss by 46 % compared with the S13. For one 1600 kVA transformer this saves about 4730 kWh per year, because no-load loss is present the whole time the transformer is energised, regardless of the load.

|---|---|---|
| No-load loss | 1170 W | 630 W |

| No-load current | 0.5 % | 0.2 % |
| Efficiency at 50 % load, cos φ = 0.9 | 99.34 % | 99.41 % |
| Efficiency at 100 % load, cos φ = 0.9 | 98.92 % | 98.96 % |
| Vector group | Yyn0 or Dyn11 | Dyn11 (Yyn0 on request) |
Efficiency is calculated from the catalogue losses: η = P / (P + P₀ + β²·Pk), where P = β·S·cos φ is the output active power and β is the load factor.
A 1600 kVA unit is typically chosen to supply large industrial consumers: workshops with heavy motor drives, compressor and pumping stations, and auxiliary loads at mining and metallurgical sites. Another common application is large commercial and residential buildings with their own substation, such as shopping and office centres, hotels and housing complexes. In addition, 1600 kVA is the top of the American-type ZGS pad-mounted (KTPN) range, while the European-type YB (BKTP / GKTP) substations, which go up to 2500 kVA, cover this rating as well.
Size the TMG-1600 for 70–80% loading: at cos φ 0.9 that is 1008–1152 kW of design load, leaving headroom for motor starting currents and load growth. If the design load fits into 1250 kVA with the same margin, the TMG-1250 is the better match and has a lower no-load loss. If the load stays above 1152 kW or a plant extension is planned, consider the TMG-2000 or TMG-2500, or splitting the load between two transformers. Also check the LV fault level: at the LV terminals of the TMG-1600 it is about 51.3 kA at nominal uk and an infinite supply; the uk tolerance and the IEC 60909 voltage factor can raise it by roughly 10%, while network and cable impedance lower it. Confirm the incoming breaker's breaking capacity with the project short-circuit calculation, or choose it with margin above 51.3 kA.
The vector group for a TMG-1600 depends on what it feeds. In a plant substation dominated by large three-phase motors, compressors and fans the neutral is lightly loaded, and the traditional Yyn0 is fully adequate. In a 1600 kVA shopping or office centre the share of single-phase UPS units, servers and LED drivers is large, so Dyn11 is chosen: it copes better with unbalance and third harmonics and gives a larger single-phase fault current for protecting long 0.4 kV feeders. The choice does not affect losses: load loss is 14500 W for both groups.
The choice between S13, amorphous SH15 and energy-efficient S-M-NX1 depends on the load profile. No-load loss runs 8760 hours a year regardless of loading, and the SH15-M-1600 cuts it by 46% compared with the S13-M-1600. That pays off where average loading is low: standby units, commercial buildings with deep night-time dips, seasonal plants. In round-the-clock operation at high loading, as is typical of mining and metallurgy, load loss dominates; it is the same for S13 and SH15, so the S13 remains a sound choice. If the project requires energy-efficiency grade 1 to GB 20052-2020, consider the S-M-NX1. The SH15 is built with Dyn11 as standard; with a three-phase three-limb core, the Yyn0 vector group can also be supplied on request, so state it in your inquiry if you need it.
The 1600 kVA transformer is also supplied as part of a compact substation: ZGS American-type pad-mounted substation (KTPN), up to 1600 kVA, or YB European-type substation (BKTP / GKTP), up to 2500 kVA. The substation is assembled and tested at the factory, so the site work mainly comes down to setting it in place and connecting the cables.
The TMG-1600 (S13-M-1600) transformer has a rated LV current of 2309 A at 0.4 kV. On the HV side the rated current is 92.4 A at 10 kV and 154.0 A at 6 kV. These values are used to select the 0.4 kV incoming breaker and busbars as well as the HV fuses or circuit breaker.
At cos φ 0.9 the TMG-1600 (1600 kVA) delivers up to 1440 kW of active power (1280 kW at cos φ 0.8, 1520 kW at 0.95). For continuous duty with headroom for motor starting and load growth, 70–80% loading is recommended, which is 1008–1152 kW at cos φ 0.9. For a higher design load, consider the TMG-2000 or TMG-2500.
The price of the TMG-1600 (S13-M-1600) is given on request only. It depends on the HV voltage, vector group, loss level (S13, amorphous SH15 or S-M-NX1), options, scope of supply and the agreed Incoterms. Send your request via the website form, e-mail sales@lalogo.uz, Telegram or WhatsApp, and a techno-commercial offer follows within 24 hours (one business day).
A TMG-1600 (S13-M-1600) is manufactured within 20–35 days of advance payment; delivery to Tashkent by rail or road via the Khorgos or Alashankou border crossing and on through Kazakhstan usually takes 15–25 days, on FOB, CIF or DAP Tashkent terms. Each unit comes with a routine test report, passport and operation manual in Russian and English, drawings, packing list and certificate of origin. A statement of compliance with GOST / O‘zDSt is prepared on request.
The calculated three-phase short-circuit current at the LV terminals of a TMG-1600 is about 51.3 kA at the nominal uk of 4.5% and an infinite supply. The uk tolerance (±10%) and the IEC 60909 voltage factor can raise the real maximum by roughly 10%, while the impedance of the supply network, cables and busbars lowers it. Confirm the breaking capacity of the 0.4 kV incoming breaker with the project short-circuit calculation, or choose it with margin above 51.3 kA.
Yes. The American-type ZGS (KTPN) pad-mounted substations cover transformers from 30 to 1600 kVA, so the TMG-1600 (S13-M-1600) is the top rating of that range. If a larger transformer may be needed at the site later, it is easier to choose a European-type YB (BKTP / GKTP) substation, rated up to 2500 kVA, from the start. The configuration of the 10 (6) kV and 0.4 kV switchgear is agreed in the techno-commercial offer.
Send us the HV voltage, vector group, number of TMG-1600 units and delivery point, and we will prepare a techno-commercial offer within 24 hours.
